ENGRAVING VS INLAY
In the simplest of terms, engraving is burning an image or design into wood. An inlay then goes one step further and fills in the engraved voids with varying species of woods in order to achieve a visual contrast that is both colorful and artistic.

While more simple, can achieve a high level of detail. An ideal option for reproducing complex illustrations and images.
Inlays
While more expensive, are an excellent way to make your project stand out and truly feel one of a kind.
